College Football Hall of Fame

Welcome to the College Football Hall of Fame...

This is where all the national Champions are listed in various polls...1984 BYU!

Future Cougar linebacker

LaVell Edwards among the Hall of Famers...can you name the other 2 BYU players? Ill give you a hint they both played the same position. I however did not see anyone from Utah. (I'll admit I didn't look that hard)

In the entrance they place these helmets according to polls

This is for Edon...Yes BYU had a top 25 finish too along with TCU.

Jackson also had his sweat test done today. If you do not know, during his newborn screening they found one mutation on the CFTR gene, Cystic Fibrosis. CF is recessive, so he needs two mutations to have the disease. However they wanted to make sure he is only a carrier. Which is why we did the sweat test. First they take the two caps and place them into the electrodes and apply them to the leg for 5 mins. Then they put on the collector, the thing that looks like a watch, to collect the sweat. We did this first back in Dec, but Jackson did not sweat enough, so we had to do it again today.

These are the electrodes...

Jackson is getting ready for the test to begin.

Once the collector is in place they put plastic wrap around the collector and hold it all in place with the same type of bandage used after donating blood.

It is on there so tight that his leg turned purple, you have to wait 30 mins with the collector in place to gather enough sweat. After the test was done I had to wait around for 4 hours to get the results...thats why I went to the hall of fame. He does not have cystic fibrosis, just got a crummy gene from either Edon or I. None of my siblings have had their kids screened, Utah only began the screening last month.

These next few are since the last post...we are just hanging around the house.

Once again a tough babysitting job, sorry parenting as Edon calls it.

Do I look like a burp cloth...

I love Jackson's face here

This morning he found his thumb and has used it twice since today.

These are from his 2 month old photo shoot today, he is 14 lbs and 24 inches long.

When I grow up...

Maybe I will be a Veterinarian....

Maybe I will be an Astronaut...

Maybe I'll be a Farmer...

See you on the Moon...

I call this Dad-sitting

Hanging with my Best Friend

Working with Mom

Nice hair Dad
Seriously...why me?

Mom, not here, you're embarrassing me...

Hey, get off my face!

This is my cute Mom...

I like to call this my milk coma

Hello world...I feel like I am in a sleeping bag.

See how fast I can get out this stray jacket...

Sometimes I have accidents

When this happens Mom says a bad word...she then says to Dad that is what it is

Dad dressed like an Assyrian King...I think it looks like a prom dress
I am just that cute.

Watch me react to Mom's voice.

Ella thanks for singing this song...I like it. You can pause the music in the top of the post in the gadget column

Random Pics

I know I just updated my blog about 10 mins ago, but it has been a while since I have posted pictures of Jackson, so I have add some random from over the past 2 weeks or so.

We went to Connie's pizza and the manager who was overly friendly last time we went, about 6 months ago, saw me and decided to give Jackson a little t-shirt. He introduced himself to everyone but me at the table. It was really funny.

This is my favorite shirt, thanks Danny and Danielle

Our white trash crib...hope he doesn't grow any longer.

Our little cuddle bug...he loves cuddling with Mom.

That's not milk.

Baby For Sale...

I think Jackson's angry cry is funny...don't worry I am filming while Edon is changing, I am not negleting my child just to laugh at his cry.

One month picture...we didn't get any good ones.

I AM THE SMARTEST MAN IN THE WORLD

Well we all know that is not true, but today I passed the mean Step 2 CK portion of the boards. I got a 208 and an 85 percentile. I am very happy.

Week 1

If parenting were a football game, we would be a road team. When we came home there were no nurses to help, no lactation expert, no sending the baby to the nursery, or meals brought to you.
Here is the sleeping baby. Edon's family gave this monkey for our monkey.
With 4 sisters and 2 sister-in-laws who know how to do cute, I feel like I have to try to compete. I like to call this next masterpiece called "photo shoot gone wrong"

Here is his Christmas suit, this is the only photo of him not screaming--so I call it a tie.

Since the arrival of Jackson, Azteca hasn't moved from this spot. At least she knows her place in the family as number 4.
